- » Free Point of Sale Software
We found this point of sale cash register software on the web. It works very well, and is completely FREE. We last used it to exhibit at a trade show and we just love it.
It is a complete point of sale software / cash register program that will work on any PC computer running any version of DOS or Windows (we have it running on a laptop). It is a DOS program, and will work with almost any receipt or regular computer printer (we use a Star TPS-100 receipt printer and a laser scanner).
It will pop open a cash drawer attached to a receipt printer or some serial cash drawers. You can use a scanner to read stock numbers. It will track up to 13,000 different items for a medium sized retail business or with almost no setup use in "minimal mode" for a garage sale, flea market, snack bar.
